KIND HEARTS AND CORONETS: LIKE FATHER LIKE DAUGHTER – Saturday 19th May, 3:30pm – 4:30pm, BBC Radio4 David Spicer’s sequel to the famous Edwardian comedy written by Roy Horniman. Starring Natalie Walter as Unity Holland, who is pursuing the Chalfont title, with Alistair McGowan playing all seven members of the Gascoyne family, who are standing in her way.
Simon Ashdown wins Special Achievement Award
Huge congratulations to Simon Ashdown, who has won a Special Achievement Award for his outstanding contribution to EastEnders at the British Soap Awards. Since joining the show in the early 90's, Simon has written some of the shows most gripping episodes, and now leads from the front as series consultant, a post he has held since 2006.
Tony Award Nominations
At the Tony Awards nominations the recognition of British talent working in America was spearheaded by Agency clients. Matthew Warchus’s production of GHOST: THE MUSICAL received 3 nominations (Best Featured Actress in a Musical, Best Scenic and Best Lighting design); Terry Johnson’s END OF THE RAINBOW received 3 nominations (Best Actress, Best Featured Actor in a play and Best Sound Design); but the stand out performer with 11 Tony Award nominations was ONCE - reward for the fantastic job done by Martin Lowe, the show's musical supervisor, who picked up a nomination for Best Orchestration.

BAFTA Nominations!
Agency clients have had their work recognized by the British Academy in this year’s BAFTA nominations. It’s two nominations apiece for Debbie Tucker Green's RANDOM and Lucinda Coxon's THE CRIMSON PETAL AND THE WHITE. RANDOM is up for Best Drama Single, along with Stephen Butchard's STOLEN. Colin Teague's FRANKENSTEIN'S WEDDING: LIVE IN LEEDS picks up a nomination for Best Live Event. Sally Wainwright's SCOTT & BAILEY is up for Best Drama Series. Heidi Thomas’ CALL THE MIDWIFE and Paul Abbott's EXILE are nominated for one each, and FRESH MEAT is up for Best Sitcom - Ep 5 written by Richard Pinto. Finally Paul Abbott's SHAMELESS has been nominated for Best Continuing Drama.
MATILDA smashes Olivier Awards record
Matilda The Musical has won a record-breaking seven Olivier Awards.
Director Matthew Warchus received the award for best director from actor James Earl Jones in New York.
Speaking via a live video link, he said: 'Creative imagination is the key to not only surviving life but improving and changing it for all of us.'
